PACextract
A little utility to extract the contents of Sony’s .pac files which they put onto their restore discs/CD’s/DVD’s. Those .pac files contain essential drivers & applications to restore the software on the Vaio. Using Sony’s restore procedure, you can only restore ‘all or nothing’. This utility is actually just a GUI for the command line tool kcap.exe which is included in the download.

NetSwitcher
A utility for Windows XP I have written a long time ago. NetSwitcher will export your current settings from the installed network adapters (LAN, WLAN and so on). You can create locations for different environments such as Home, Office, Public or whatever you wish. This app works very basic. It uses the ‘netsh’ command to export/import the settings and the files contain all configuration information in plain text. WLAN keys (WEP/WPA etc.) will NOT be saved.
